Who can apply for a scholarship?
Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II scholarships are available for three different groups of candidates (Target Group 1, Target Group 2 and Target Group 3) according to your nationality and your academic, professional or personal situation and circumstances.

Nationals from countries belonging to the European Union
Nationals from Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia2
Nationals from Morocco2
1 Undergraduate students must have successfully completed at least one year of studies at first higher education level in their home institution.
2 Applicants must not have resided nor have carried out their main activity (studies, work, etc) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in the European Union. This rule does not apply to academic and administrative staff mobility flows and to Target Group 3 candidates.
What does the scholarship cover?
Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II scholarships cover the following items:

The maximum amount available for travel costs is based on the direct distance ("as the crow flies") between on one side the home university (for Target Group 1), location of origin (for Target Group 2) or location of residence (for Target Group 3) of the student/staff and on the other side the hosting university premises. What disciplines are offered?
The universities of the Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II partnership are mostly comprehensive universities that offer a wide range of study fields.
As Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II focuses strongly on regional needs in North Africa, the following specific thematic areas have been identified as priority fields*:
Administrative staff mobility (16.9) is also considered a priority for the Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II partnership.
Important: Applications are possible in any field of study offered by the Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi partnership. Candidates applying for a mobility flow corresponding to one of the priority fields, however, will receive extra points during the evaluation phase.

Target Groups
There are three Target Groups for grantees and five different types of mobility flows for students and staff.
