The University of Carthage is a Tunisian training and research university with the status of public administrative institution under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. Founded in1988 under the name of the University of Law, Economics, and management Tunis III, it became in 2011 the University of Carthage.
Presently, the University of Carthage includes 35 institutions of higher education and research that offer education and research programs in a wide array of disciplines and sub-disciplines in sciences and humanities such as engineering, law, economics, management, computer sciences, social sciences, letters, languages, art and young learners pedagogy.
For the academic year 2012-2013, student enrolment at the University of Carthage are in the order of 42969, who benefit from continuously updated training program and take advantage of various opportunities to improve their scientific and technological knowledge as well as exercise their creativity and capacity for innovation. Through a number of productive partnership and cooperation agreements both at the local and international levels, the university is well integrated in its national and international socio-economic and cultural environments.
