Target Group 2 Nationals of Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia and countries belonging to the European Union who are currently registered or enrolled at a higher education institution in these countries not included in the Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II partnership.

Nationals of Algeria, Egypt, Libya and Tunisia and countries belonging to the European Union who have obtained a university degree or equivalent from an institution of these countries including professionals working in public administration or public and private enterprises (not for staff).

Target Group 3

Nationals of Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia who are in particularly vulnerable situations, for social and political reasons. For example:

  • having a refugee status or asylum beneficiaries (international or according to the national legislation of one of the European recipient countries) or
  • it can be proved that they have been the object of unjustified expulsion from university on racial, ethnic, religious, political, gender or sexual inclination or
  • they belong to an indigenous population targeted by a specific national policy or IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons)

  • Who can apply for a scholarship?
    Here you will learn about who is eligible for a Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II scholarship. This depends mainly on your nationality and present academic or professional situation.
  • What can I do?
    In this section you will learn about the different levels and types of mobility you can apply for. The levels of mobility refer to undergraduate, master, doctorate, post-doctorate fellows, academic and administrative staff. The available mobility programmes are credit transfer, short stay and full degree program.
  • How long can I stay?
    Here you can find out about the maximum duration of the Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II scholarships, which vary according to the level of mobility and the type of programme you apply for.
  • What does the scholarship cover?
    In this section you will learn more about what an Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II scholarship covers. That is, from a monthly allowance, to a tuition fee waiver, travel expenses (economy class round trip, standard luggage allowances) and insurance.

Erasmus Mundus - Al Idrisi II is a project for exchange and cooperation between Europe and North Africa that provided scholarships for undergraduate and master students, doctoral candidates, post-doctoral fellows and academic and administrative staff. The third and last call for applications closed in January 2016.
